To Obama by Jeanne Marie Laskas. It’s been a while since I wrote a book review but I really enjoyed this one and so will anyone who misses the empathy and humanity of the Obama White House. When he took office, President Obama asked his staff to go through the millions of pieces of incoming mail they got each day and give him 10 letters to read when he went to the residence at night. He often replied with handwritten notes, some he wrote notes and asked staff to reply or used the letters to inspire speeches or shape policy.
