After a little hiatus, I decided to get back into the swing of things. My Etsy shop is stocked, I opened a new shop on Zibbet and I recently joined a group of designers on Facebook that has launch events and auctions. The first one ended yesterday and I am delighted that my ready-to-ship items all sold, plus I got orders for several more! Busy few weeks coming up.
One thing I wanted to take a little time for was something special for my kids. They got plenty of fun custom stuff for our Disney trip, of course, and they usually get special shirts for holidays and events. But when I saw that the Scientific Seamstress group on Facebook is having a month-long contest for Book-inspired sewing. When I saw this fabric, I knew I had to play along. My son Joshua’s favorite book lately has been Green Eggs and Ham. I let them pick what fabric they wanted, Joshua chose Green Eggs and Ham, Justin chose The Lorax.
I finally got time to work on them yesterday and finished up the last of them this morning. The pattern is my beloved Scientific Seamstress Bowling Shirt which I have made dozens of times. It’s so incredible versatile and so cute for boys! I love the colors and the themes of their shirts, and the boys are in love with their special shirts from their favorite books.
Oh how cute! I love the shirts and the books 🙂
